For 16 years, we’ve been working with Northern ON artists creating new works of theatre for Northern ON audiences and proudly presenting them at our annual Playsmelter Northern ON New Works Theatre Festival. Bursting with so much good work, we’ve now busted out of one landscape and taken this incredible work on the road.
Playsmelter Tours is a new Northern Ontario Touring Network presenting original new works by Northern ON artists for Northern ON audiences. 2026 marked Playsmelters’ inaugural tour presenting Copper Cliff playwright Karen Thistles’ CALLING THE ROCK HOME playing to enthusiastic audiences in Timmins, Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie.
